Its no secret I gave up on Canon for Fuji years ago. The manual control, size and quality has been the perfect combination for me. I admit I am a traveler first and photographer second, but I think that is an advantage in many ways. The X-70 allowed me to get through 2 months in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, The Solomons, Nauru, Kiribati and the Marshall Islands with a 17 liter day pack.
Its time for Fuji to dominate the compact (travel) camera market. They have the means to do so: compact professional grade XF lenses, the new 24mp X-Trans III sensor and the form factor of the X-70. Fuji just give the X-70 the new sensor, a lens mount and an external electronic viewfinder. Game over. Will Fuji do it? It seems with the X-A3 being a clone of the X-A2 I am skeptical. But I can hope... and what more can we ask for than hope!
